Livingunderworld.org & Amphibiainfo.com Terms of Use & Disclaimer
RECORDED USER INFORMATION, UNAUTHORIZED UPLOADS, HACKING, and CRACKING:
All transactions occurring while in the domain of Livingunderworld.org
and Amphibiainfo.com may be logged and monitored. This includes any links followed from Livingunderworld.org
and Amphibiainfo.com's domain, referring links, ip addresses, browser
type, and host name of all visitors, all pages accessed, time span spent
in Livingunderworld.org or Amphibiainfo.com domains, and date and time of occurrence.
Furthermore, a log may be created anytime the home page is accessed
independently of other materials, including all instances of "who
is" inquiries, whether they be through a browser or dos window.
This is because our log system interprets a "who is" inquiry
as a hit to the home page, and will log it in our standard log
file.
Unfortunately, we find it necessary to monitor such activities in
light of attempts to corrupt Livingunderworld.org's database and
cgi files. Please note that only suspicious activity is noted, and all
normal visits are ignored. Livingunderworld.org and Amphibiainfo.com do not, and will not,
sell or reveal any user information from our logs to outsiders. These
log files are strictly for security purposes, and remain anonymous, with
the exception of suspicious or malicious activities. Suspicious
activities include attempts to access the cgi-bin, root directory, or
database files, persistent "who is" inquiries, and attempts to
re-write, upload, or corrupt materials on Livingunderworld.org and
Amphibiainfo.com.
Livingunderworld.org and Amphibiainfo.com contain numerous secured sections that are not
available to the general public. These include cgi scripts, javascripts,
log files, error log files, user authorized pages, and others. All
attempts to access these pages through http or ftp are logged in files
that are monitored daily. Repeated attempts to access forbidden sections
will result in the expulsion of such users, with the possibility of
legal action. This is an educational website put in place for the
benefit of those interested in the subject matter, and as such,
Livingunderworld.org and Amphibiainfo.com will not tolerate malicious behavior
on any level.
Our "Log & Monitor" policy went into effect in early 2003 when it was recognized
that Livingunderworld.org is generating several thousand visits per month,
and that attempts to access secure sections are carried out on a
daily basis. Most of these accesses are assumed to be accidental or
benign in purpose, however, others are clearly intentional and possibly
malicious. As an organization, livingunderworld.org is rather liberal
with source code and scripts, and in most cases, will gladly share such
information with anyone who asks. If you are seeking access to certain
materials for legit purposes, please email info@livingunderworld.org,
and avoid attempts at accessing them through the browser.
Unauthorized
attempts to upload information or change information on this website are
strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the
Computer
Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the
National
Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
As mentioned above, users should be aware that every action occurring
within Livingunderworld.org's domain is recorded and monitored.

and break the myths that amphibians are "scary",
"gross", or unimportant to the world.
